Standards and tolerances have been established to ensure our customers get consistently accurate, dependable parts.
Backlash - Our gears are cut to operate on standard center distances with backlash. The backlash for mating gears, when assembled, is shown in the table below.
Concentricity - The concentricity of the pitch line with bore (TIR - total indicator reading) is held to the tolerances specified in the table below.
Other dimensions are held to standard commercial tolerances and finishes.
Bores - Our gears are bored, honed or ground to a smooth finish and held to tolerances as follows:
1/4" diameter bore to 1" diameter bore +-.0005"
1-1/16" diameter bore to 2" diameter bore +-.00075
